Shaped Sheet Piles
Sheet piles are steel structures with linkage devices on the edges, and these linkage devices can be freely combined to form a continuous and tight retaining wall or water retaining wall. Steel sheet piles are a type of steel with a lock. Its cross-section has straight plate shape, groove shape and Z shape, etc., with various sizes and interlocking forms. Common ones include Larson type and Lackawanna type.
Z-shaped steel sheet pile construction process
The Z-shaped steel sheet pile is driven using vibration driving method, and the pile is pulled out using a 50 ton crawler crane combined with a vibration hammer. The construction steps of Z-shaped steel sheet pile are as follows: setting up the guide pile frame → cleaning the Z-shaped steel sheet pile → inserting and driving the Z-shaped steel sheet pile → setting internal support → plugging → mud suction → hardening the base → construction of the bearing platform and pier body → pulling out the Z-shaped steel sheet pile.
Z-shaped steel sheet pile advantage
1. Flexible design with relatively high cross-sectional modulus and mass ratio;
2. Higher moment of inertia, thereby increasing the stiffness of the sheet pile wall and reducing displacement deformation;
3. Large width, effectively saving time for lifting and piling;
4. The increase in section width reduces the number of shrinkage joints in the sheet pile wall, directly improving its water sealing performance;
5. Thickening treatment has been carried out on severely corroded areas, resulting in better corrosion resistance.
Z-shaped steel sheet piles are made of cold-formed Z-shaped steel plates, with a cross-section shape of Z-shape and certain stiffness and bearing capacity. The length can be adjusted according to needs and is widely used in fields such as civil engineering, water conservancy engineering, construction engineering, and bridge engineering.
U-shaped steel sheet pile advantage
Firstly, U-shaped steel sheet piles have excellent environmental adaptability. It can withstand various harsh environmental conditions, such as strong winds, ice and snow, high temperatures, etc., and is not easily affected by meteorological conditions. Therefore, in wetland areas such as coasts, rivers, and lakes, U-shaped steel sheet piles are often used as slope protection structures for breakwaters and river embankments, which can effectively protect the embankments and reduce the erosion of soil by water flow.
U-shaped steel Steel sheet pile engineering
In engineering, U-shaped steel sheet piles are widely used. It can be used for the construction of pile foundations, providing soil support and reinforcement, and ensuring the stability of the project. In addition, U-shaped steel sheet piles can also be used for the construction of temporary support structures. In bridge construction, they can serve as construction platforms and support templates, facilitating the operation of construction personnel and improving work efficiency. In addition, in earthwork engineering, U-shaped steel sheet piles can also be used to support retaining slopes, river dredging, etc., to achieve the layout and shaping of earthwork.
